Born in conflict-ridden Kashmir, Mahrukh was a journalist for several years before she made it big. Today, she is deputy editor of leading Indian news channel Times Now and co-presenter of its prime time news hour. Mahrukh's coverage of the terror strikes in Mumbai recently were also met with a lot of appreciation.
