Eligibility:
- Candidates must hold a recognised Bachelor's degree (minimum 10+2+3), in any of following:
(1) BCA
(2) BSc in Comp Sc/Int Tech / Electronics
(3) BSc/BA with Maths/Stats at graduate level. - Candidates of BSc/BA Honours must have minimum 60 percent (45 percent for SC/ST) marks in average in honours subject.
- Other candidates must have minimum 60 percent (45 percent for SC/ST) marks in average in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in which appeared (excluding optional subjects).
- Candidates graduating in 2009 can apply, provided they can submit marksheets by October 31, 2009.
- Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment.
Selection Procedure:
An online entrance test will be held on May 23 and 24, 2009 at Allahabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Patna and Ranchi. Provisional selections will be based on performance in the test. All further notifications will be available only on the website. No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.
How to Apply:
- The MCA 2009 Application Material and Information Brochure 2009 can be obtained from all our centres at the addresses given on our website:
(a) in person from March 18, 2009 to April 27, 2009 on payment of Rs 1,200/- and
(b) By post on payment of Rs 1,250/- (all payment by crossed DD in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi). - Postal requests must be received by April 22, 2009, and must include a covering letter and two slips of paper (10x10 cm) with name, address in capitals and phone number.
- To apply for the programme, eligible candidates may either
(a) Fill the printed from supplied with MCA 2009 Application Material, and send with requisite enclosures to reach office of undersigned by 30 April 2009, or
(b) Fill in the online application form on our website, and send a printout with requisite enclosures and crossed DD for Rs 1,200/- by April 30, 2009, at the address below. - The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on March 18, 2009 and will be closed at 4 pm on April 27, 2009.
