I am using ABN Amro Credit card and HSBC credit card. I am ok with using credit cards but the problems I faced are like without my knowledge the ABN AMRO Bank billed me on some offers like 'free return flight ticket' and 'premium club membership' of Rs 9k.
I argued for such a long time with them to reverse these fees that finally they reversed the amount but not the interest which they charged for three months. The customer care of ABN AMRO call for due payments very rarely, but they do have some agencies that are very bad; they even threaten us to make the payments which is not at all acceptable.
The credit cards are killing me but I feel it is a very handy tool while going for online transactions like booking online tickets, online shopping. One more problem which we Indians face is some of the shops accept credit cards if and only if we pay more, that is, 2.5 per cent extra on the actual price. I am happy with my HSBC credit card. Not many problems with their offers. At Westside we get 10 per cent more discount as well & no torturing from the customer care to pay my bills as ABN AMRO does.
