What: Thapar University's postgraduate courses in BE, BTech, MCA, MSc, MPhil, ME, MTech, PhD.
 
Eligibility

~ BE/BTech (1st year program): 60 per cent (55 per cent for SC/ST)in aggregate of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science at +2 level. Selection is based on AIEEE rank
~
BE/BTech (Lateral entry: Selection is through LEET-TU
~
MCA/MSc (Biotech): Graduate in Science
~
Msc: BSc in respective subject
~
ME/MTech/PhD: GATE qualification is preffered. Non-GATE qualified candidates will have to appear for Entrance Test 
 
Application procedure

Prospectus along with application form containing the details of eligibility, number of seats, reservation of seats, counselling/admission schedule, fees etc. and other details can be had at the University counter on payment of Rs 1000/- Or by post through Bank Draft of Rs 1050/- in favour of Registrar, Thapar University, Patiala from the office of the Registrar or can be downloaded from university website www.thapar.edu or one can apply online.

Prospectus and application form will be available from March 28, 2008 onwards.

Last date of submission of forms:  BE/BTech: 20.05.2008 MSc Courses : 13.06.2008 MCA/MSc (BT): 26.05.2008 ME/MTech: 25.06.2008 MPhil: 24.04.2008 LEET: 10.06.2008.
 
Last date of Issue of application form: BE/BTech: 9.05.2008 MSc Courses : 6.6.2008 MCA/MSc (BT): 16.5.2008 ME/MTech: 13.06.2008 MPhil: 16.04.2008 LEET: 2.06.2008.
 
Date of Entrance Test: For BE/BTech (Lateral Entry)- June 21, 2008 For MSc Courses - June 22, 2008 For MCA/MSc (BT)- June 7, 2008 For ME/MTech - July 3, 2008 LEET - June 21, 2008MPhi: 4.05.2008.
