Shetty giggles and gurgles through the introduction which is fine, I suppose, since this is about Shilpa's Yoga and I am willing to buy her argument that yoga is, indeed, bliss.
The disclaimers flashed in the beginning of the DVD are also well thought out: Avoid yoga if having an injury, pregnant, on pain-killers, etc. What flummoxed me was the suggestion (in the intro of each set of practice) where we are instructed not to try the practice more than twice if a beginner etc. This obviously does not work for pranayama practices or for the shoulder and neck movements.
Clearly, in these spots the disclaimer was just inserted without much thought.
Bonus and stuff
At the tail end, the profile on the actress by the child adds a nice, personal touch. The stills showcase Shilpa even more sweetly. If you are a fan, then this is paisa vasool. The Quick-fix, of a short yoga programme, is good, as earlier. There is also the Making-of-the-video and the Bloopers, which can be fun, one-time round.
After that first viewing what? Would the 72-minute DVD transform your life? Make you as sleek as it has made Shilpa? Would you want to run it again and again, and do your yoga alongside it?
I am not too sure.
