A step back in time
These caves were supposed to serve as shelters for Jain monks.
The monks must have been very brave to live in those incredibly small and simple caves. I couldn't help but wonder how they climbed up the huge rocks to reach the tiny chambers.
Airfare for Rs 599 and less!
I could hardly keep my balance after climbing up the dangerously-placed rocks of the hill in the stifling heat and got a pretty good idea of what the monks must have endured each day.
I got quite a few bumps on my head while entering the small caves and experienced claustrophobia for the first time in my life!
