What: Strawberry Outbound, an adventure travel company, is organising a rappelling programme at Kanheri Caves, Borivali National Park from Mumbai.

When: February 17

Rates:

  • Non-member: Rs 950 per person
  • Member: Rs 850 per person

The Kanheri Caves are a number of rock-cut Buddhist caves located in Mumbai. The caves date back to the 1st century BC and lie deep inside the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Caution: Rappelling is a technical adventure activity. It is not recommended for those affected by heart problems, epilepsy or medical conditions.

~ Assembly time: 6.15 am at Chandu Halwai Sweetmeat Shop, Dadar TT Circle (East).

~ Activity: Rappelling, Level-II

The fee includes:

  • Breakfast
  • Packed lunch
  • Private/ public conveyance
  • Services of instructors
  • Technical equipment (harness, helmets, safety gear etc)

The fee does not include:

  • Insurance cover
  • Personal porterage
  • Additional meals that are not included in trip cost
  • Mineral water or beverages

What you need

~ Please remember to carry the following with you

  • Drinking water (minimum three litres)
  • Good hiking shoes
  • Sunglasses
  • Peak cap
  • Insect repellent
  • Personal identification
  • Personal medication, if any
  • Day sack
  • Flashlight
  • Spare dry set of clothing
