The Queen owned over 3,000 dresses decorated with pearls!

Pearls are a girl's second best friends, which explains the drive to Brighstone, location for Isle of Wight Pearl Centre.

You get to see a vast range of pearl jewellery that caters to all pockets at this showroom, which if I may is rather elegantly done.

The jewellery is truly exquisite and the staff extremely courteous. But what is mostly eye-catching is this figure of Queen Elizabeth I in a pearly gown. Here's what the write-up next to her reads: Queen Elizabeth I often wore seven or eight ropes of pearl at the same time, some of which would reach down to her knees. She also owned over 3,000 dresses decorated with pearls.
