Once you have finished with your exercise, perform these simple stretches as a way of cooling down, to prevent soreness the next day.
Butt stretch -- Lie flat on the floor, with knees bent and both soles against the ground. Bring one knee up to your chest and hold it there with both hands until you feel the stretch. Repeat with the other leg.
Hurdler stretch -- Sit on the floor with back straight, one leg extended straight outward and the other bent at the knee, such that its sole is against the straight leg's knee. Gently bend forward in the direction of your straight leg till you feel the stretch. Switch your position to the other leg and repeat.
Pretzel stretch -- Sit on the floor with back straight and right leg extended straight outward; bend the knee of the left leg and cross over the right, such that the sole of your left is on the ground right next to your straightened right knee. Turn your torso towards the left and extend your left arm out backward for support. Bring your right arm to the front of the left knee of your crossed leg and continue to twist in the left direction till you feel the stretch. Repeat in the other direction.
