On the tiger trail, in Corbett
Next, we climbed a machan. A tiger was spotted from here a couple of days back. No such luck with us.
Back on track, we saw a car waiting by the road. The occupants told us there was a tiger in the bushes. Obviously, we decided to wait and were finally rewarded for our patience. The tiger walked out and took a dip in the pond close by.
Summer travel special
Then he came out, wiped himself by rubbing against a tree and started walking in our direction. What a thrilling view it was watching the tiger walking gracefully, stopping at every tree on the road!
It finally walked away into the jungle. And we all gave a long sigh of satisfaction.
We retuned to the Bijrani rest house where we saw an elephant. The mahout agreed to take us for a ride for Rs 100. All of us climbed up on 50-year-old Rani and thoroughly enjoyed the royal ride. A perfect end to a most exciting trip. We couldn’t have had it any better.
