What: University of Mysore offers three degree programmes, including a Master's degree in Information Technology.
Courses offered:
1. One year PG Diploma in Multimedia Technology, Bio-Informatics, Geo-informatics, Software Development, E-Commerce.
2. One year Diploma in Information Technology, Multi-media Production, Publication Design
3. Two years Master's degree in Information Technology (M Sc IT)
Eligibility:
~ For course (1) PG Diplomas: Any Degree (Degree in Life Science for Bioinformatics)
~ For course (2) Diplomas: +2 and above,
~ For course (3) M Sc IT (4 Semester): BCA/BIT/BE/B Tech/B Sc with Computer science or Maths as one of the optional / PGDSD/ADIT (with any degree)/PGDEcom-minimum 45% marks in aggregate (relaxable by 5% for SC, ST & Cat-1.) For (1) PG Diplomas: Any Degree (Degree in Life Science for Bioinformatics)
How to apply:
~ Application forms along with the prospectus will be issued from the office of the CIST from 12 July 2007 during working hours. Candidates can get applications with prospectus by post by sending a DD for Rs 180 per application, favouring Director, CIST, University of Mysore, Mysore. ~ Application fee is Rs 120 and the entrance exam fee is Rs100 for diploma and PG diploma courses and Rs 400 for M Sc IT.
~ Candidates applying for more than one diploma courses will have to submit separate applications. However, the entrance examination fee will be Rs 100, irrespective of the number of courses applied for.
~ Last date of submission of forms is 4 August 2007.
