Rice Kheer

    ~Ingredients

    500 ml milk
    125 gm rice
    200 gm sugar
    50 gm ghee
    3 tbsp chopped nuts

    ~Method

    Wash the rice and spread on cloth or paper to dry for 10 minutes.

    Grind this rice for two minutes roughly, in a grinder.

    Add ghee in a pan, add rice powder and saute for five minutes, on a medium flame.

    Add milk and cook on a low flame till the milk is reduced to 3/4th of its quantity. Keep stirring to prevent the kheer from burning.

    Add the sugar and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Garnish with chopped nuts.
