Bar essentials

No bar is complete without the following:

1. Jigger: To measure your drinks. This two-sided cup is available in 30 ml and 60 ml

2. Ice tongs: To serve those drinks on the rocks

3. Cocktail stirrer: A long steel spoon to stir your Long Island Iced Tea and other cocktails.

4. Cocktail strainer: To pour out the cocktail, leaving all the solid ingredients in the shaker.

5. Sharp knife: To cut your garnishes.

6. Muddler: A long steel masher to crush the fruits while making smooth cocktails.

7. Ice bucket: To chill the champagne and wine. When not in use the bucket can become a container to store all the above items.

8. Cocktail shaker: It is usually a steel flask to shake and mix your cocktail.

9. Wine/ bottle opener and wine stopper: Useful to cork leftover wine from spoiling.

10. Cocktail recipe booklet: To help you be a perfect host (and party animal!).

A refrigerator and blender (to blend cocktails) are optional. These save you the effort of walking to and from the kitchen to fetch your ice and chilled beer or to blend your cocktails.
