Chickmagalur

About the place
Chickmagalur if translated literally means "the younger daughter's town". This cosy hill town offers you a vast expanse of greenery and quiet.

According to Hindu mythology, the younger daughter of Rukmangada, king and a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, received this town as her dowry.

Chickmaglur is a trekker's delight -- streams, valleys and wild mountain flowers.
