What: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Kolkata offers admission to its PhD programme.
Details and eligibility:
~ Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER-Kolkata) offers:
· An integrated 5 years Master's curriculum following Class XII of our school system (or its equivalent)
· Post BSc integrated PhD Curriculum (expected to start from 2009), and
· A full PhD Programme after MSc or equivalent degree
~ Applications are invited from bright young 1st class MSc and MS candidates with CSIR-UGC NET including NET (LS), or GATE (with valid score) qualification or any other all Indian level test like JEST etc. for PhD programme at IISER.
~ Programme may be carried out in collaboration with neighbouring institutes, universities, etc., until the institute gets its own campus at Haringhata, Kalyani.
Each selected candidate will get a fellowship and contingency:

Fellowship (for first two years) = Rs 12,000 per month

From Third year = Rs 14,000 per month

House Rent Allowance as per UGC norms
~ Age should not exceed 28 years (as on 31 March 2008).
