Those attendance musters and the swipe cards. None of that applies if you are self-employed. In most cases, early on the schedule looks more like 8 am - 10 pm instead of the comfortable 9 am - 5 pm routine. The business hinges on your initiative, and when it comes down to delivering, no timelines apply.
Work pressure and the added responsibility almost make long work hours a certainty during the early years of being self-employed.
