If you're getting dressed for a family occasion or party and you're tired of the usual fare of salwar-kurtas, opt for a sari. But, the sari has evolved and if you really want to make a style statement, the flavour of the season is saris in see-through materials that show off a trendy choli underneath.
Embroidered chiffon or net saris paired with a halter neck choli (like the one Sushmita Sen is sporting) or noodle straps (spotted on Aishwayra Rai on several occassions) are a great way to be fashionable and traditional at the same time.
The sari is undoubtedly one of the most flattering outfits a woman can don and you just can't go wrong in one -- so don't be afraid to be a little adventurous and try something new.
