This is another product that has been gaining popularity with both men and women. While traditionally advertisements targeted women, recent advertisements also market sunscreens for men.
Local shops say that these sunscreens are indeed popular with men too. Says BD Samant, owner of a medical store in Pune, "Many men come shopping for sunscreens. They even come looking for specific brands."
There are many popular sunscreen brands like Banana Boat, St Ives, VLCC that are very popular among men. "I live in a city that has a very harsh sun," says Vishal, "A lot of my friends use sunscreens regularly. I usually use my sister's sunscreen; I don't have my own brand yet."
If you're on the lookout for a good sunscreen, make sure to pick one that has an SPF of 30 and above.
