What: The Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, will conduct the State Entrance Examination 2006 for admission to its various degree courses.

Am I eligible?

~ You must have passed the Intermediate examination of the UP Board, Class XII examination or its equivalent from any recognised Board/ University for admission to the following courses:

• B Tech
• B Pharm
• B Arch
• BHMCT (hotel management)

~ MCA: You must have passed the three-year degree course with Mathematics as a subject at the Class XII or degree level.

~ MBA: You must have passed a three-year degree course in any discipline

~ B Tech/ B Pharma (second year): You must have passed a diploma course recognised by the Board of Technical Education, UP, with a minimum of 60 per cent marks.

~ B Arch: You must possess a three-year diploma in Architecture recognised by central government/ state government with a minimum of 50 per cent marks.  

~ You can appear for the SEE-2006 for all courses, even if you are yet to appear for the qualifying examination and provided you fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counselling.

~ You may appear for the admission test only if your parents have domicile in UP.

~ BHMCT: April 22 (paper code: 7)

~ MBA: April 22 (paper code 8)

~ MCA: April 22 (paper code 9)

~ B Tech (Second Year Diploma holders only): April 22 (paper code 10/11)

~ B Tech: April 23 (paper code 1 and 2) Physics & Chemistry and Maths

~ B Tech (Agricultural Engineering): April 23 (paper code 4 & 5)

~ B Pharma: April 23 (paper code 1 and 2/3) Physics & Chemistry and Maths or Biology

~ B Arch: April 23 (paper code 2 and 6)

~ Examinations will be held in 23 cities of UP including Delhi, Roorkee and Dehradun.

How to apply

~ Obtain the information brochure containing the application form from all head post offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars of:

• Delhi
• Nainital
• Dehradun

~ You must send a bank draft of Rs 550 in favour of Finance Officer, UP Technical University, Lucknow, along with two self-addressed envelopes.

~ You must send your applications by registered/ speedpost only.
