What: The National Law School of India University, Bangalore invites applications for admission to its BA LLB (Honours) and LLM programmes.
About LLM
~ It is a two-year post-graduate degree programme with four semesters.
~ Areas of specialisation:
- Business Laws
- Human Rights Laws
Am I eligible?
~ For BA LLB (Honours)
- You must have completed your Class XII examination or its equivalent with not less than 50 percent marks.
- You should be below 20 years of age as on July 1, 2006.
~ For LLM
- You must have scored a 50 percent aggregate in BL/LLB/BALLB (Honours) examination.
- You can apply if you are appearing for your final examinations this year.
Selection method
~ You must appear and sumit your score for the All India Admission Test to be held in the following cities:
- Allahabad
- Bangalore
- Bhopal
- Chandigarh
- Chennai
- Delhi
- Kochi
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
Entrance test preparation
~ For BA LLB: Obtain copies of the last 18 years' test papers in a volume by sending a demand draft for Rs 710 inclusive of postage in favour of Registrar, National Law School of India University, payable at Bangalore.
The format and structure of entrance examination may vary from that of previous years.
~ For LLM: Obtain get copies of the last seven years' test papers by sending a demand draft for Rs 380 inclusive of postage.
Important dates
~ The All India Admission Test will be held on May 7.
~ Applications will be issued from January 9.
~ Last date for the issue and receipt of completed applications is March 15.
~ Admissions will be completed on or before June 30.
~ Regular classes begin on July 1.
Note: Financial assistance/fee waiver/scholarship is available in deserving cases.
How to apply
~ Obtain the application and prospectus by writing to The Registrar, NLSIU(write in bold) giving your full address and pincode.
~ Your application must be accompanied by a bank draft for Rs 1,000 payable to the NLSIU at Bangalore.
Note: A few merit-cum-means scholarships are available in deserving cases.
