Creative MuVo TX FM (256MB)

You can’t hold this little wonder in your hand and not like it. The MuVo comes in a couple of variants, and even a few colours. It’s this model that gets our vote though, because it packs quite a punch for its size.

Thanks to its USB 2.0 file-transfer speed, your music doesn’t take years to queue up. Also, considering it’s a flash-based player (which stores permanent information on computers and, unlike RAM, can continue to store it in the absence of a power source), the response to your commands is quick.

And, in case you’re wondering, the FM in the MuVo comes from its built-in FM tuner.

More good stuff -– it’s good to look at, can be hung around your neck (it comes with a band for this purpose, actually), offers great sound, and gives you four hours of Mp3 playback before a change of AAA batteries is required.

The drawback? A tiny LCD screen.
