She picks a quirky sculpture of a man on a bike. Made of powderstone (a type of stone with a fine, smooth texture) and steel, the piece from Thailand comes in two colours. "When you see it, you get a feeling of motion. It adds vibrancy to the place where you place it."

A ceramic lion with grooved mane is the second pick and it comes from Italy. It is the perfect showpiece, adding a regal and funky touch to your display. It also makes for a great gift, she says.
