Layered, hand printed, block printed, brocaded and embroidered in cottons, chiffons, silk, knits and in muted muds, faded greens, blues, beiges.
Sabyasachi has always been fond of the old world -- "things were much better back then" -- and it reflects in most of his work.
His models therefore wore oversized shirts, vests, leggings, flowing skirts, bustiers and peddle-pushers, carrying books and wearing old-style spectacles.
Sabyasachi's Fall-Winter collection, he said, was clearly aimed at the international market. "It is a little more commercial this time, more easy to produce. Last year, it was all about creativity and textures and we had a tough time in terms of production."
Sabyasachi's line of separates -- he always does separates -- is priced between Rs 6,500 and Rs 30,000.
