Yeh Vaada Raha
There's something irresistible about Rishi Kapoor proclaiming his love to a Bollywood beauty on screen. In Yeh Vaada Raha, he woos, not one, but two pretty women. That they are actually one and the same is what this caper is all about.
City-bred Ritchie Rich falls in love with a hill-station stunner (Poonam Dhillon). Mommy Rich disapproves. Our heroine has an accident and loses her face. One cosmetic surgery later, she's back to being the brand new object (Tina Munim) of our hero's affections. The dainty ladies bring in plenty of eye-candy whereas Rishi reminds us why he's the Prince of the genre in this breezy prem kahani.
Also, R D Burman's silvery tunes -- Yeh vaada raha, Jeene ko to jeete hain, Maine tujhe kabhi Aisa kabhi hua and Ishq mera bandagi hai -- contribute significantly to the proceedings.
