Trust the Bachchan family to celebrate Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai's first wedding anniversary in style.
The couple were in Miami, where Abhishek is shooting for a film, Dostana.
But not one to miss out on his son and daughter-in-law's special day, Amitabh organised a video conference in Mumbai. The media were also invited for the event, which also released the first promo of Sarkar Raj, a film starring the three Bachchans. It has been directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
The conversation was conducted at 10.40 am (US time), where the couple sought the elderly Bachchans' blessings.
Asked how the couple planned to celebrate their wedding anniversary, Abhishek quipped, "This year, we are celebrating with the media, unlike last year when we didn't."
Asked about her role in Sarkar Raj, Ash replied, "I am representing a power company in the film that wants to set up a power plant." But she denied that she was playing the role of Rebecca Mark, former Chief Executive Officer of Enron that set up Dabhol Power Company near Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
Sarkar Raj is all set for release on June 6.
