Shilpa Shetty has gotten out her running shoes and is all set to make a mad dash for the finish line in next month's London Marathon, www.Hollywood.tv has learned.
But she won't be alone. Shilpa will be a member of a ladies team from London Pimlico Plumbers, who will don costumes as taps for the annual run. She is participating largely because she hopes to raise money for the Indian charity Water Aid, which sets up sanitation facilities in poor rural villages.
Her other goal is to beat her rival housemate Jade Goody in Big Brother, who collapsed while running last year's marathon.
'I'm excited but also nervous. I keep fit with dancing and working out but this is a big test,' Shetty said. 'The Pimlico girls have been helping me with training. They'll want me to fix drains next!'
Shilpa stepped into the global limelight when she won UK's popular reality show, Celebrity Big Brother.
