Meet Pattiyal star Bharath

In your latest release, Azhagayiriken…, you play an urban guy…

Yes, I play a talkative, fun-loving guy. I loved the role. The latest trend, I think, is not the story but how you treat the story. Every frame in the film is very colourful.

Of late, you have been relegating your dancing to the backseat. Is it a conscious decision?

I am getting more performance-oriented roles, that's all. I would prefer it this way. Rather than being known as a good dancer, I would like to be known as a good actor. A good performer, rather. But I get to do a lot of dancing in AIBI. I feel really lucky to have managed good offers from good filmmakers so far.

What is your ambition?

I want to be known as a versatile actor.
