Rituparno Ghosh seems to be riding high after Chokher Bali won a National Award for Best Film in Bengali.

His first Hindi film, Raincoat, will be screened at this year's London Film Festival, which begins on October 20.

Raincoat, which stars Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan, will be screened on October 22, which could also be its world premiere.

"I don't know if I can attend the festival. My mother is unwell," Rituparno told me.

The film, which was shot entirely in Kolkata in 17 days, tells the story of two estranged lovers who meet one monsoon afternoon.

Rituparno will begin shooting his next Hindi film, Antar Mahal, on Friday, September 3. Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Soha Ali Khan, Jackie Shroff and Rupa Ganguly, it is a love story set in 1880.
