After the 'revealing' performance in Khwahish [left, the promos of the film hyped the 17 kisses that Mallika shared with costar Himanshu Malik], she is ready with Murder costarring Ashmit Patel and Emraan Hashmi.

Murder, said to be a loose remake of Hollywood's Unfaithful (Diane Lane, Richard Gere, Oliver Martinez), is about a married woman who embarks on a passionate affair with her ex-lover.

"It is a very relevant subject. Youngsters will enjoy the film," she says, adding, "I play a married woman who falls in love with a man, because her husband is not paying enough attention to her. It is a very thoughtful film and a must-see for all the people who don't pay enough attention to their wives."

"In our society," she adds, "men are allowed to have affairs after marriage openly. Women can't. I don't understand why. If a man is not paying attention to his wife, she is obviously going to fall for someone else. I am always against dual society rules -- one for men and one for women. We should have uniform rule for both genders."
