If you are looking for a theological depiction of the life of Christ, this is certainly not it.

Based on the hugely successful Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice rock opera, it was a rocking fun romp through the life of Jesus Christ. In Norman Jewison's screen adaptation, Ted Neeley stars as Jesus, supported by what can only be described as an amazingly odd set of characters who play various biblical roles.
