American Graffiti (1973)
It's the summer of 1962 and George Lucas tries to capture the look, feel and sound of that era by chronicling one memorable night in the lives of several young Californians on the verge of adulthood.
George Lucas directed and co-wrote this film, which was propelled by the music of then underground deejay Wolfman Jack's rock & roll radio show. Francis Ford Coppola produced it.
This was Harrison Ford's first movie (as a drag-racer new to town). The cast also comprises Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfuss, Cindy Williams and Paul Le Mat.
