Big B to star in Chanakya

Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar will star opposite each other in Chanakya a thriller, produced by I Dreams (producer of such films like Monsoon Wedding, Mitr and 16 December ).

Sanjay Dutt, part of the original cast, backed out due to unknown reasons. Akshay Kumar replaced him.

The film will hit theatres next year.

Sangeet Sivan to direct Esha

Sangeet Sivan, brother of ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, will direct Esha Deol in her next venture. The film will debut Sanjay Khan's son Zaheed Khan.

Pantaloon, the producers of the Hrithik Roshan-Esha Deol flick Na Tum Jano Na Hum, will produce it.

Sangeet is currently shooting for Ayesha Shroff's Sandhya, a psycholgoical thriller starring Jackie Shroff and Raveena Tandon.

Fardeen's hectic year

After the dismal performance of his last two releases Hum Ho Gaye Aapke and Kitne Door Kitne Paas, Fardeen Khan is busy working towards his four releases this year.

Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahen will be Fardeen's first summer release. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Kali Sundamara. Fardeen pairs up with debutant Richa Pallot in this film.

Anupam Kher's directorial venture Om Jai Jagdish has him co-starring with Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Urmila Matondkar, Mahima Chaudry and Tara Sharma.

He will also star in papa Feroz Khan's Janasheen and Boney Kapoor's Khushi opposite Kareena Kapoor.
