Tabu takes a sabbatical Chandni Bar star Tabu has decided to take a break from Bollywood for the next six months. After she completes M F Husain's, Meenakshi, she hopes to cut down on her film assignments and concentrate on her next Sarhad Paar. Tabu has had only one release this year, Meghna Gulzar's Filhaal. The actress says her family will now take first priority.
K3G, Lagaan nominated for National Awards The nominees of the 'Best film providing wholesome and popular entertainment' category for the 49th National Film Awards were announced recently. Three Hindi flicks, Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Anil Sharma’s Gadar - Ek Prem Katha and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan have made to the list compiled by the Film Federation Of India.
The Bhagat Singh controversy rages on The family of Shaheed Bhagat Singh has decided to oppose the films and sue the filmmakers of The Legend Of Bhagat Singh and 23rd March 1931 -- Shaheed due to factual distortions in the scripts. Professor Jagmohan Singh, a nephew of the martyr said the film had several historical and cultural distortions which would give Indians the incorrect picture of one of the most respected freedom fighters.
