Ready to take on the Oscar

Aamir Khan After beating the British at their own game of cricket, Aamir Khan is getting ready to take on competition at the Oscars.

Aamir is going all out to promote Lagaan. He has decided to send maximum numbers of the print abroad and has also appointed a firm to promote the film.

Film on Mother Teresa announced

Southern director Shaji Thaikkadan has announced his decision to make a Malayalam film on Mother Teresa.

The Gift Of God will star top artistes from the Malayalam cinema. KJ Jacob, the producer of the film said that the film will also be made in Tamil and will later be dubbed in other regional languages.

Great going for Gracy

Gracy Singh Things are finally looking up for Gracy Singh.

After being left in the cold for a while, the Lagaan co-star has signed a few prestigious banners, including Shyam Benegal's next, a Pahlaj Nilhani film, Ripples entertainment's next film to be directed by Satish Kaushik with Anil Kapoor and a film with Tusshar Kapoor and Amrita Arora.

Gracy is also doing a Telugu film with Nagarjuna.

Children’s film fest

A four-day long children's film festival will begin in Agartala on January 16. The festival would be organised jointly by the Tripura government and the Film Festival Society of India.

Altogether 15 films including those of Tapan Sinha, Sai Paranjape, Santosh Shivan will be screened at the festival. Sai Paranjape is likely to be present at the inauguration ceremony.
