Raveena in Bhandarkar’s Satta

Raveena Tandon will play the main lead in Madhur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming film, Satta.

Raju Singh has been signed to compose the music for the film. Singh had earlier composed the background score for Bhandarkar’s Chandni Bar.

Like father like son

Tushaar Kapoor seems to be following his father, Jeetendra’s footsteps. Jeetendra’s hits like like Himmatwala, Justice Choudary, Maawali were all remakes of South Indian films.

At least three of Tushaar's forthcoming films are Telugu remakes - Kya Dil Ne Kaha with Esha Deol is a remake of Swayamvaram. His film with director Poori Jagannath is a remake of the Pawan Kalyan starrer, Badri and finally he will also be seen in a remake of the Telugu hit Nuvvu Nenu, opposite a newcomer Anita.

Incidentally, his debut film opposite Kareena Kapoor, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, was also a remake of a Telugu hit Tholi Prema.

Pooja Bhatt completes Sur – The Melody

Pooja Bhatt has just completed her first feature film as producer. Titled Sur – The Melody of Life, the film has been scripted and directed by Tanuja Chandra.

The film stars Lucky Ali, new-find Gauri Karnik and Simone Singh in pivotal roles.

Produced by Fish Eye Network, Pooja Bhatt’s production company, in collaboration with Pritish Nandy Communications, the film is slated for an April / May release.

Ramgopal Varma's assistant Taufiq Qureshi, has completed eighty percent of his first feature film with Sharad Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles.

The film, to be produced by Ramgopal Varma is based on a friendship between a man and a monkey.

It is to be seen if this one goes the Haathi Mere Saathi way.
