Aishwarya is Shah Rukh Khan’s next?
News is that Dreamz Unlimited’s forthcoming film will star Aishwarya Rai that is likely to be directed by Aziz Mirza. Talks are that Shah Rukh Khan will play the lead opposite Aishwarya. Presently both Shah Rukh and Aishwarya are busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s dream project Devdas, also starring Madhuri Dixit.
Reports are that Govinda will be playing a negative role in K C Bokadia’s forthcoming film. Looks like Govinda has finally decided to break away from the comedian image he has created for himself in the past few years – thanks to his association with director David Dhawan. To be shot at Jodhpur in Rajasthan, the rest of the cast and crew of the film have yet to be announced. Govinda has earlier played a cold-blooded killer in N Chandra’s Shikari, that also starred Karisma Kapoor and Tabu. However the film was a no show at the box-office. While on Govinda, reports are that Jackie has roped in Govinda and Vijay Anand, his nephew, for his forthcoming film Bhai Jaan.
Firoz to direct son Fardeen
After the not so happening Prem Agan, Firoz Khan is once again directing son Fardeen Khan. This time however, senior Khan will also feature in the film. Titled Janasheen, the film has debutant Celina Jaitley playing the female lead. With music by Anand Raj Anand, the lyrics have been penned by Tejpal Kaur, Dev Kohli and Praveen Bhardwaj. The film’s screenplay is by Suparn Verma and Shiraz Ahmed.
Paanch to release on March 29 Paanch will finally see the light of the day. Director Anurag Kashyap’s debut film starring Tejaswini Kolhapure has finally been cleared by the censors. The film will be released on March 29. Other films to be released on the same day include the much-awaited Madhuri-Shah Rukh-Salman starrer Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, the Govinda-Preity Zinta starrer Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen, Fardeen Khan and Amrita Arora’s Kitne Door Kitne Paas and Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol’s Kya Dil Ne Kaha.
Shamita going South
Not much is heard about Shamita Shetty, after her debut opposite Uday Chopra in Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein. News is that Shamita, Shilpa Shetty's sister is doing a Tamil film opposite Vijaykant in Rajjyam. Sister Shilpa, too, has done films in the south -- the Telugu version of Splash in the role of a mermaid, costarring Venkatesh, and of course Mr Romeo opposite dancing wiz Prabhu Deva.
