Salman-DiyaSalman-Diya

Is Diya Mirza really seeing Salman Khan?

Not true, says an insider. And before you shrug it off, this is a trusted source --- the man parties every night with the Khans. What, then, is the truth behind the 'romance'?

Apparently, Diya has been dating Sohail Khan's brother-in-law Bunty [Sohail's wife Seema's younger good-looking brother]. Since they move in the same group, everyone just assumed Diya was around because of Salman Khan.

Good for Diya, though, The young lass is enjoying every bit of the attention she is getting as a result of these rumours.

Aap Mujhe Hasty Lagne Lage?

Why is Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, the Hrithik Roshan-Amisha Patel starrer being rushed for an early release?

Amisha-Hrithik in Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage Just in case you think Rakesh Roshan is behind this rush, you are entirely off the mark.

The distributors and exhibitors feel the film could use with a bit of a delay and could be hype only before it was released. But producers Mohan Kumar and Rohit Kumar are hell bent on releasing the film. This means the unit has to toil day and night --- and the heroine and the hero are now doing double and triple shifts to complete the film.

The reason for all this haste, we hear, is --- no, it's not supersition --- the fact that the producers got some money for the endorsement of certain products in the film. In doing so, had committed to a release date. Now if they cannot [rather late in the day to have realised this, we think] release the film on time, they will just have to return that money. And we all know how the film industry people hate parting with money, don't we?

Shah Rukh's showing and it's telling!

Shah Rukh Khan's well-wishers are worried. Shah Rukh Khan in Asoka

The man doesn't seem to be shooting for films --- which is what an actor is supposed to do. Instead, the man is performing at far too many shows.

For instance, during the Republic Day week, Shah Rukh went to the Sahara city, stayed put there for almost a week and did a couple of shows.

If you put it all in perspective, you will know that all this is to repay the debts that have piled up with Khan's debut production, Asoka. Though partners Jai Mehta and Juhi Chawla have done their bit, Shah Rukh is extremely uncomfortable and spend sleepless nights over the debts. He would rather pay off all his debts.

Honorable, that.

Yash Chopra -- the true story

Yash Chopra may be a master at the craft of filmmaking and song picturistations. But Yash Chopra when he was called upon to direct a music video for Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he was quick and honest enough to realise his limitations.

First things first, he got none other than his favourite Shah Rukh to add that bit of glamour and appeal. Next, he insisted that hotshot music director Ken Ghosh be present on the sets for discussions/ consultation.

"Editing and cutting for music videos is different," confessed Chopra.

Floored by the veteran filmmaker's honesty, Ken was more than thrilled to assist Yash Chopra for the shoot.

Why Ash made it to Ghai's bash

Salman-Ash

One of the reasons Aishwarya Rai made an entry at the Subhash Ghai party, we are convinced, was to let Salman Khan know that it was all over between them.

Subhash Ghai has been a sore point with Salman for a while now. And Ghai was one person whom Ash avoided only because of Salman's dislike for the showman.

Attending Ghai's bash and staying on was a clear message to Salman.

What's more, Ghai has decided to let bygones be bygones and has offered Aishwarya Rai a film which she has agreed to star in, on condition that it is a heroine-oriented film.

And now, for Ash's bro

Aishwarya Rai's brother Aditya is good-looking, smart and pretty confident. And no, the handsome dude has no intention of joining films. Aishwarya Rai

Meanwhile, mother Vrinda Rai is said to be weaving dreams for her son Aditya --- there are plenty of offers knocking at their doorstep. If there is a Yash Chopra making discreet enquiries, the Kapoor brothers went ahead and asked him the question.

But Aditya, at the moment, is keen on learning the ropes of production and supervising the maiden film that Ash's family has launched in partnership with Shabbir Boxwalla.

The first steps towards acting, you think?
