Aishwarya turns producer

Aishwarya Rai has turned producer with Dil Ka Rishta, with a tailor-made role for the actress.

To be directed by Naresh Malhotra, former assistant to Yash Chopra, the film stars, Arjun Rampal as one of the male leads and Raakhee as Aishwarya's mother.

Benegal to do a film on Netaji

Noted filmmaker Shyam Benegal will direct a film on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

To be produced by the Sahara India Group, the three-hour film will give detailed account of his life and his vision for an independent India.

The cast for the film has yet to be finalised.

Raveena to star in Khalid's next

Shaji N Karun completes Nishad

Shaji N Karun, is ready with his first Hindi film Nishad.

Karun, who had directed Piravi and the two highly acclaimed Malayalam films Swaham and Vaanaspratham, is now ready with his first Hindi film.

Nishad, deals with an intricate mother-son relationship and stars Archana of Piravi fame, Rajit Kapoor, and Gulshan Grover.
