Preity campaigns for the Congress
Now the latest star to join the bandwagon is actress Preity Zinta. She will be campaigning in Punjab for the Congress party. We hear that actor and Rajya Sabha member Shatrughan Sinha has cut short his US visit and returned to India last night at the request of BJP leaders to campaign for the party for the forthcoming assembly polls.
Lagaan, K3G, Dil Chahta Hai win at the Filmfare Awards
The Filmfare Award for the Best Story has been bagged by Lagaan written by Ashutosh Gowariker while the Best Screenplay Award went to Farhan Akhtar for Dil Chahta Hai. The technical awards for the 47th Filmfare Awards, which will be held in Mumbai on February 16, were announced on Monday. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham won the award for the Best Dialogue (Karan Johar) and for Best Art Direction (Sharmishta Roy), while Santosh Sivan bagged the Best Cinematography Award for Asoka.
Madhuri in song
Madhuri may soon feature on an album produced by the Rajshris. The music, it is heard, will be composed by Bhavdeep Jaipurwale who has composed music for several Rajshri films earlier. Spokespersons of both the concerned parties verify the news having said that discussions on this front are definitely on. Madhuri, who acted in two of Rajshris' films -- Abodh and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is a favourite in the Rajshri household.
Abhishek gears up for Haan... Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya Abhishek, who was in Delhi recently to promote his new film Haan... Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya, told reporters that his father was one of the reference points in Hindi film industry and that it was a compliment that people compared him to the Big B. The film, dubbed in Bollywood as a reel-life affair between Abhishek and Karisma, has Akshay as a good boy while the Bachchan junior plays the negative character.
