Bollywood turns to the Gods

Amitabh Bachchan

Bollywood has been bitten by the mythological bug. How else would one explain why Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan are playing King Dashrath and Lord Rama?

Sanjay Khan’s Maryada Purushottam Ram which stars AB, Roshan and Jackie Shroff (as Ravana) is expected to be one of the biggest films this year.

With a budget of over Rs 55 crore and a script by Farrukh Dhondy and T Murari, this will be one flick to watch out for.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan also plays Lord Indra in director Arjun Sanjnani’s lavish costume drama -- Agnivarsha.

Director Chandraprakash Dwivedi is also making a film on Lord Krishna and we hear that negotiations are on with a top Bollywood hero.
