He played a lover boy in Rajiv Rai's Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat and Ashu Trikha's Deewaanapan, an intensely disturbed lawyer in Ashok Mehta's Moksha and a blind bank robber in Vipul Shah's Aankhen.

In Dil Hai Tumhaara, Arjun Rampal tries his hand at comedy. "Kundan Shah had a character which was different. He and Ramesh Taurani of Tips asked me to see the script, which I did. I knew it meant a lot of work but, after four meetings, I agreed to do the role."
