Will Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage be Hrithik's salvation?

Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage will be an acid test for Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel, who are being paired together for first time after their hit debut in 2000.

The film will also be a test for director Vikram Bhatt, who has delivered this year's first hit Raaz and has the duo as the central characters for the first time since Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai, which brought Hrithik instant stardom.

Critics say that the film is crucial to Hrithik's career as it his first solo hero film since 2000. All of his films since his debut -- Fiza, Mission Kashmir, Yaadein and the hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham -- have cast him in the second or third lead.

If AMALL fares well, Bhatt would have the singular honour of being the only filmmaker to have delivered two successes this year.

Artist Manohar Desai's exhibition of paintings inspired by Chandni Bar is on display at the Nehru Centre Art Gallery in Mumbai until April 22.

The artist who has seen the Madhur Bhandarkar directed film 27 times says that he was struck by its subject. Desai, who also is a calligrapher and illustrator, has lined up 18 paintings (all acrylics) for the show. His favourite is the one titled Mumtaz after Chandni Bar's main protagonist.

Milind Soman stars in the soon-to-be-released Pyaar Ki Dhun which has him paired opposite real-life sisters Swati and Hena, who make their debuts with the film.

The film is a romantic thriller, shot extensively on foreign locales by director Samarjit Dasgupta. It releases on April 25.

Na Tum Jaano Na Hum complete

The shooting of the Esha Deol-Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer Na Tum Jaano Na Hum was wrapped recently at an old church in Colaba, Mumbai.

Surprisingly on the last day of the schedule, the first opening scene of the film was shot, which shows Esha at her graduation ceremony lighting a candle.

The film is expected to release in the next three months.
