Sridevi to act again
Actress Sridevi is all set to stage a comeback. She will soon feature in a sitcom, a desi version of the popular 1960s American comedy I Love Lucy. Sridevi will play the central character originally played by Lucille Ball. Reports are that talks are already on with a television channel.
Back to back releases for Bhagat Singh films
Initially, rumours were that Tips would release their film before the Sunny starrer. But now Sunny has announced that his film would release on June 21. Tips will release their version on July 7.
Mahesh Bhatt and Javed Akhtar to visit Gujarat
Director-producer Mahesh Bhatt and lyricist-scriptwriter Javed Akhtar will accompany a ten-member delegation of the Panun Kashmir Association, an organisation of displaced Kashmir Pundits for a visit to the strife torn areas of Gujarat. The delegation is expected to leave next week. They will travel across the state meeting victims and reviewing conditions of refugee camps.
ITA seminar commences April 12 The Indian Television Academy will organise a two-day seminar on April 12 and 13. Anu Ranjan, President, ITA said that the seminar was necessary to build bridges between the various departments of the television industry. Mahesh Bhatt, a governing council member, said that to provide the individual with an insight to the complex world of television that changed by the hour, on the hour, was the academy's foremost duty.
