Akshay Kumar for Mani Shankar's next?

16 December director Mani Shankar is in talks with Aankhen star Akshay Kumar for his next film.

Akshay, who won the IIFA award for best performance in a villainous role for Ajnabee, vehemently denies reports about him doing a nude scene in Suneel Darshan's Talaash.

He says that the sequence was shot in a jacuzzi, where he could not have been dressed in a tuxedo. The actor said he never did a nude sequence in his life and never would.

New innings for Kambli

Cricketer Vinod Kambli's debut film Anarth, starring Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Preeti Jhangiani, Ashutosh Rana and Johnny Lever makes good progress.

The formers batsman, who plays a mechanic in the film, says he is the only actor in the film with a mother.

Kambli has also been signed by Ten Sports for their channel. Kambli and model Nethra Chandler will host a dial in show and answer calls that come in.

Malaika Arora Khan's pregnancy has Kaante director Sanjay Gupta in a quandary.

Gupta, who still has a song to shoot with the model-turned-actress, is in a soup. Wonder if any of the item number girls -- Kashmira Shah, Urmila Matondkar or Sophiya Haque will oblige him?

Amisha replaced by Tabu

Amisha Patel has been replaced by actress Tabu for the Popcorn show that is currently under production.
