Magic, music, masti...
RHTDM clearly lacks all three!

Sukanya Verma

Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein After the unexpected success of Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Midas producer Vashu Bhagnani moves on to Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

MKKH boosted the careers of Tusshar and Kareena Kapoor. RHTDM is expected to be a repeat feat for R Madhavan and Diya Mirza.

Shot extensively in New Zealand, the film is a remake of Tamil hit Minnalae (R Madhavan, Reema Sen).

The music is scored by Harris Jeyaraj. Strangely, the album does not feature the zany Aaya re aaya koi track shown on the televised promos.

The album comprises seven similar-sounding tracks. For starters, there's the foot tapping and catchy titlesong by Sonu Nigam and Kavita Krishnamurthy. It is peppy and endearing.

The next couple of tracks, Bolo bolo by Shaan and Oh mamma mamma sound so alike that it's hard to tell where the first ends and when the second begins. Sameer's nonsensical lyrics don't help, either. Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein

Kaise mein kahun tujhse has singer Kay Kay moaning. He does a good job, though.

Bombay Jayshree (yes, that's her name!) next, humming Zara zara. This tender melody could have fared better with a more expressive voice.

Roop Kumar Rathod makes a clear shift from patriotism to moody blues with Dil ko.

Such keh raha hai has an expressive Kay Kay. It's zingy, peppy and racy.

RHTDM lacks the popular appeal of Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai or the freshness of Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya. It's strictly regular!
