Abhishek and Amitabh to opt out of Rakesh Mehra's next?

Amitabh Bachchan Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan will be seen together in Kutumbh and not Rakesh Mehra's next film.

According to sources, Bachchan was unhappy with Mehra after his Aks met with a miserable end at the box office. Which is why Bachchan has decided not to work with Mehra at present.

Mehra is currently working on another film which will star Manoj Bajpai.

Casting coups

Juhi Chawla will feature in Pritish Nandy's production starring Shayan Munshi and Sanjay Suri. Juhi and Sanjay Suri play a married couple in the film. The film is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh and also stars Rahul Bose.

Sunil Shetty Sunil Shetty and Manisha Koirala have teamed up for Nitin Manmohan-Ramgopal Varma productions Dream Merchants. The film will be directed by Tamara.

Rakesh Bapat has replaced Akshaye Khanna in K Shashilal Nair's film Sandhya which is being produced by Jackie Shroff.

E Niwas is planning another project. It is learnt that he is likely to approach Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan for the leads in his next film.

Anupam Kher's eager to work with Malayalam directors

Anupam Kher After the acclaimed Bariwali directed by Rituparno Ghosh, Anupam Kher wants to produce a film with Malayalam filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan as director.

Kher said that he was more than willing to collaborate with the director on a suitable subject. The actor also expressed his eagerness to work with other Malayalam directors.

Kher said he planned to produce one regional film every year.

Bryan Adams' Calcutta concert may be cancelled

Bryan Adams fans are in for a big disappointment. The Bryan Adams concert scheduled for November 14 at the Salt Lake stadium may be cancelled because of the impending war.

Bangalore based event management group, DNA which had organised the Vengaboys tour in Calcutta last week, had planned two concerts: one in Delhi and the other in Calcutta in the second week of November.
