Abhishek's good deed

Abhishek Bachchan won himself a few fans at the 'Rose Day' celebrations for cancer patients in the city.

The actor arrived at the domestic airport to participate in a joy ride organised for cancer patients, aboard a Pawan Hans Helicopter.

Abhishek joked and talked with many of the younger fans as the chopper pirouetted over the important landmarks of the city.

Fardeen inaugurates Provogue showroom

Actor Fardeen Khan, the new Provogue ambassador, inaugurated the new Provogue store at Crossroads, in Bombay.

Fardeen Khan also proceed to a city hotel, to celebrate the opening, with an entourage of models and film personalities, which included the likes of Bipasha Basu, Milind Soman and Aryan Vaid.

Vengaboys concert cancelled

The Vengaboys' concert, scheduled to be held on September 23, in Guwahati, was cancelled after citizens, students and youth organisations opposed it.

The decision for cancellation was taken as the mega pop event was not in line with the acceptance level of the student community and the people.

Besides opposition from students who staged a demonstration against the show, a signature campaign against the concert signed by prominent citizens was also organised.

Hrithik's next in January 2002

Hrithik fans can gear up to usher in the year 2002 with a big bang.

The hunky Yaadein star plans on releasing his next big banner Na Tum Jano Na Hum with Esha Deol, directed by Arjun Sablok and produced by PFH Entertainment on his birthday which falls on January 10th.
