Is Gracy doing serials again?

Gracy Singh Gracy Singh, the Lagaan wonder-girl, returns to the television serial Amaanat soon. She will put in a special appearance not as Dingy (the character she earlier played), but as Gracy Singh -- 'the actress'.

The producer, Sapna Bhattacharya, said Gracy was keen on coming back to the serial. Bhattacharya felt it was unfair to ask her to come back as Dingy, because her film career had just taken off.

Jugal Hansraj and Sooraj Barjatya team up

Jugal Hansraj has just signed a Sooraj Barjatya film to be directed by Rathod. The film will pair him opposite a new girl.

Jugal says the romantic film with a difference has a great storyline. Shooting has commenced a couple of days ago.

Sunil, a great cricket fan, shares a great rapport with Vinod. He says that the cricketer has a tremendous sense of humour and is very confident in front of the camera.

Daughters Of This Century for Cairo film festival

Filmmaker Tapan Sinha's ambitious film Daughters Of This Century, which heralds the director's comeback into Hindi commercial films after a decade, has been invited to the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival.

The septuagenarian director said he was elated after receiving the communication from the festival organisers.

Sinha won a National Award for his 1990 film Ek Doctor Ki Maut.

The film has in its lead Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Nandita Das, Deepa Shahi and Sulbha Deshpande.
