Akshaye's a bad boy

Akshaye Khanna Dil Chahta Hai has done wonders for Akshaye Khanna's career.

His performance as the lovable Sid has won him a negative role in the untitled Abbas-Mustan film which also stars Bobby Deol and Amisha Patel.

The film produced by Venus, was launched in Jaipur recently.

Abhishek Bachchan plays Chandrashehkar Azad for English flick

Abhishek Bachchan has been chosen to play the lead role in the upcoming Priyadarshan film -- Chandrashekhar Azad.

The film will be made in English in collaboration with a major Hollywood studio. 80 per cent of the film's cast will be from Hollywood too. The film will be dubbed in Hindi later.

The producers also wish to release the film in true Hollywood style - with over than 4000 prints!

Actress, MP and UN Goodwill Ambassador Shabana Azmi recently approached Akshay Kumar to appear in a social welfare film for the Population Council & Alliance for Reproductive Health.

Akki consented readily to work for such a worthy cause and completed the shot in half a day.

He also told Azmi that he has respected his wife -- Twinkle's decision to have a baby after two years.

Aamir's dad's film

Aamir Khan Tahir Husain, better known as Aamir Khan's father is ready for the release of his film Dil Dhoondtha Hai, starring newcomers Shoaib Khan, Divya Palat and Devi Sri.

Hussain had cast Aamir earlier in two of his productions Tum Mere Ho and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.

Husain promotional campaign for the film includes a contest which offers over 100 classy cars (including three Mercedes Benz models) to the winners.
