AB and Dilip Kumar team up for Ada

Dilip Kumar who hopes to make a comeback with Asar - The Impact has also been signed by producer-director Tanvir Ahmed with Amitabh Bachchan for Ada.

The titans will star together after a gap of 15 years, their last being Shakti.

The film will be presented by Jhamu Sugandh while A R Rahman will compose the music.

Lajja - up in smoke?

Lajja BJP workers burnt an effigy of Lajja director Rajkumar Santoshi and posters of Madhuri Dixit in Bhopal on September 3.

They were protesting against "objectionable dialogues" against Hindu gods and goddesses in the film.

This is the second time this year that a demonstration against a Hindi film has been staged in the city.

On July 19, the Youth Congress had staged a violent demonstration against Gadar.

Naseeruddin to host cricket game show

Naseeruddin ESPN-STAR Sports, the television channel, hopes to take cricket beyond the boundaries with an interactive cricket game show -- Super Selector. It is to be hosted by Naseeruddin Shah.

The show will be telecast from September 21 and will allow viewers to pick a winning team of their choice through the channel’s website espnstar.com.

Viewers’ choices will also be pitted against those of Sunil Gavaskar, Geoffrey Boycott or Ravi Shastri. Celebrities from various walks of life, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, also pitch in with their views.

Chopra wins lawsuit

Vidhu Vinod Chopra Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra won a case against the Film Makers Combine (FMC) in the Monopolistic and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission for imposing a ban on people who were involved in the making of his -- 1942 - A Love Story.

It is seven years since the case was filed. Chopra waited long enough for justice.
